I first heard about it in the second semester of my freshman year. My schoolmate who majors in Computer Science told me that there is a special course on every Thursday night, from 7 to 9 PM. The lecturers are all sophomore students, they will take turn to teach. The contents are mainly about C Programming course review and preview. In my opinion, it is better than the course taught by professor. There are three main reasons. First, the progress of Lion course is faster than professor’s since sophomore students have tighter course schedule for us. Second, they understand our problems and actually know how to explain problems and contents clearly, because they were also in our positions a year ago. Last, we will have chances to actually do in class practices. Doing instant exercises can really examine our own understanding of the course contents. Lion course is actually very clear and easy to follow, I will definitely suggest whoever is interested in Coding to give it a shot. Here is the link to their Facebook group:
This week TA gave us a hard assignment (write a calendar, by calculation not reference) so Lion lecturer actually taught us loops as preview. After understanding all types of loops, it is much more easier to do calculations. Although I am still not sure how to calculate and allocate week and days, I know the proximate structure now. After finishing it and uploading my practices and assignments, I will share them on blog.
¡Hasta luego!
